The electronic detection system is selected according to strict reliability criteria. Despite the tests carried out by the manufacturers, there is always a very low percentage of non-detection. The absence of data resulting from this non-detection will not allow the Organizer to include the official or real time of the participant concerned in the ranking. The Organizer shall not be held responsible for this.

Any failure to return the timing chip, for whatever reason, will be billed fifteen (15) euros to the participant concerned.

10. Penalties
The referees’ intervention procedures (verbal warning, sanction, disqualification or exclusion from the race) are applicable to competitors before, during and after the event, from the time the bib is collected until the end of the announcement of the results.

During an event, a competitor may be: verbally warned, sanctioned by: a yellow card for a request for compliance; a blue card for a penalty; a red card for a disqualification. A competitor may be disqualified without having previously been affected by the warning or sanction procedures.

Only official referees of the F.F.TRI, duly assigned to the event and wearing the official vest, can apply these procedures. Penalties will be carried out in the “penalty box” tent.

The refereeing is composed of referee judges of the F.F.TRI whose decision-making power is final.

11. Equipment
Participants must wear equipment that complies with the safety rules and technical requirements of the French Triathlon Federation.

The minimum mandatory equipment includes:
• A helmet approved for the bike section.
• A swimsuit suitable for swimming (or a wetsuit depending on the water temperature).
• Swimming goggles and a specific wetsuit if the water temperature allows it.
• A bike that complies with safety standards and is in good working order.

12. Safety
The safety of participants is an absolute priority during this triathlon.

In particular, during the cycling section, participants are required to scrupulously respect the Highway Code, both for their own safety and that of other road users. It is imperative to ride on authorized lanes, to respect road signs, traffic lights and the instructions of the race commissioners.

Failure to comply with traffic rules, such as running a red light, riding on a continuous line, or failing to give way, will result in immediate disqualification.

The organizer reminds that the road is not exclusively reserved for triathlon participants, and that other vehicles or cyclists may be present. It is therefore essential to remain vigilant, to clearly signal your intentions (using the appropriate hand signals) and to maintain responsible and courteous conduct.

Each participant assumes responsibility for their conduct on the course and must always prioritize safety before performance.

13. Anti-doping control
Anti-doping controls may be implemented during the event. Participants in the event undertake to strictly respect the ban on doping and the provisions concerning anti-doping controls, as they result from the laws and regulations in force, in particular articles L. 230-1 et seq. of the French Sports Code. Any refusal to submit to a control or any positive control will be subject to disciplinary proceedings before the federation with which the participant is licensed, or before the French Anti-Doping Agency, if he is not licensed by any federation.
